SLUDGE DRYING METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge drying equipment with which a treatment cost is made extremely low and stable drying efficiency is obtainable. SOLUTION: Various kinds of electric facilities driven in the sewage treatment by a sewage treatment equipment 2 for aerating sewage with air and decomposing organic matter by aerobic microorganisms are disposed in a machine room 5. A chain conveyor provided with a plurality of conveyance containers having filter sections on their base surfaces is disposed within a main body case. An exhaust duct 35 connected to an exhauster 6 of the machine room 5 is connected to the main body case. The excess sludge generated in the sewage treatment equipment 2 is fed into the conveyance containers where the moisture of the excess sludge is filtered and separated. The conveyance containers are conveyed and while the sludge is condensed by its own weight, the sludge is dried by the remaining heat from the electric facilities of the machine room 5 and the heated up exhaust air. The sludge is inexpensively, efficiently and stably dried by effectively utilizing the remaining heat of the electric facilities.
