PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a side lobe component contained in a receiving signal and to remove the same in ultrasonic diagnostic equipment. SOLUTION: Two receiving beams mutually coincident in main beam azimuth and different in side lobe pattern are formed. Two receiving signals obtained thereby are compared with each other to extract the side lobe component. This side lobe component is utilized to perform correction with respect to the receiving signals. |
