PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniform the thickness of an absorbent article in the width direction, partially changable a fiber amounts or form a bulky section by simple operation changes. SOLUTION: Crushed pulp which is carried on an air stream is accumulated on the surface of a rotating drum 10 for the fiber accumulation, which is rotating, by performing sucking from the internal surface side, and the absorbent body is formed by this fiber accumulating device 9. In such a fiber accumulating device, a suction chamber region 11A which is arranged on the inside of the rotating drum 10 for the fiber accumulation is divided into a plurality of suction chambers 12A to 12C with a cross section in the longitudinal direction going in the flowing direction. At the same time, a suction means is provided in respective suction chambers 12A to 12C.
