PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the water from the mouth from dripping along the handle and the hand and wetting a cuff when polishing the teeth by attaching a ring fitted with a cord or chain with a weight to the mid-point of the handle of a toothbrush. SOLUTION: The ring 3 is attached to the handle of the toothbrush to dam up the water from the mouth at this point. Next, the cord or chain 5 attached to the ring 3 is faced downward at all times by the weight 6 attached thereto, by which the water dammed up by the ring 3 is dropped along the cord and therefore the hand and the cuff are not wetted with the water.
