PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breeding bank good in the adhesion and growth of an aquatic organism such as alga or microorganism from the early stage after block setting, capable of enlargement design and high in stability. SOLUTION: This breeding bank has the following construction: a plurality of narrow plain concrete blocks 1 are disposed at intervals, a plurality of narrow porous concrete blocks 5 are fixed crossedly on the plain concrete blocks 1; wherein each of the porous concrete blocks 5 contains microporous coarse aggregates that are dispersed over the surface of the porous concrete block, and at least part of the surface of each of the porous concrete blocks is not coated with cement paste to expose the surface of the microporous coarse aggregates.
