<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb filter not generating warpage in a porous silicon carbide member even if the voids of the porous silicon carbide member are made high, excellent in particulate collection efficiency and with reduced pressure loss. SOLUTION: The honeycomb filter comprises a ceramic block formed by bundling a plurality of porous silicon carbide members, wherein a large number of through-holes are parallelly arranged longitudinally through partition walls, through an adhesive layer and is constituted so that the partition walls partitioning the through-holes function as particle collecting filters. In this honeycomb filter, the standard deviationσof the void size distribution of the porous silicon carbide members is not more than 0.2.</p> |
