PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for applying a composition forming a coating film rich in fashionability and also serving for decorating a transparent base material such as glass, plastics. SOLUTION: In coating the surface of the transparent base material with a colored transparent silicone type coating material, the silicone type coating material is intermittently sprayed as a fine particulate state from a spray nozzle controlled by a computer and allowed to impinge against the surface of the transparent base material and the coated transparent base material is dried.
