PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sugar chain derivative of calcitonin. SOLUTION: This sugar chain derivative of calcitonin is obtained by substituting at least two amino acid residues selected from asparagine, aspartic acid, glutamine and glutamic acid of the amino acid sequence of the calcitonin, in the case of the asparagine and aspartic acid residues substituting with an asparagine residue having a compound-type saccharide linking to a nitrogen of a side chain amide, and in the case of the glutamine and glutamic acid residues substituting with glutamine residue having a compound-type saccharide linking to a nitrogen of a side chain amide.
