REINFORCED TISSUE IMPLANTS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bioabsorbable tissue implants and methods for preparing and using the implants. SOLUTION: This tissue implant is preferably bioabsorbable. This tissue implant is provided with at least one layer of bioabsorbable polymeric foam component having pores with the structure of a continuous pore type. Furthermore, this tissue implant is provided with reinforcing component contributing to the mechanical characteristic and the handleability of the implant. Desirably reinforced component is also bioabsorbable. The tissue implant can be used related to the surgical repair of the damage of a soft tissue such as the damage, etc., to a pelvic floor.
