<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an inexpensive apparatus for removing soot and smoke which can remove CO, HC, NOx, etc., efficiently from the exhaust gas of a diesel engine vehicle. SOLUTION: The apparatus 2 for removing soot and smoke is connected to the exhaust pipe 1 of the diesel engine vehicle, and the exhaust gas is released into the air through the pipe 1. The apparatus 2 has a plurality of filters 11, 12, and 13 arranged in the flow direction of the exhaust gas in the cylindrical housing 3 of the apparatus 2. Each filter 11, 12, and 13 is a mesh-shaped filter of an ion exchange resin, the filter 11 has the larges meshes, and the filter 13 has the smallest meshes. The exhaust gas introduced into the apparatus 2 is cleaned while passing through the filters 11, 12, and 13.</p> |
