PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control so as to cover a difference in ability among players when a plurality of players simultaneously participate in the same game. SOLUTION: A game device 10 comprises a display section 13 for color display provided in the front of a casing 12 and a control section 14 positioned forwardly of the display section 13. The game device 10 is intended for a shooting game, and a pair of false guns 16A and 16B are connected to the control section 14 through cables 15A and 15B. Depending on the kind of an opponent character (first type opponent character or second type opponent character) shot by the pair of false guns 16A and 16B, since corresponding one opponent character can be defeated only for a period until a prescribed time set by a timer elapses and display can be made so as to stop the movement of the other opponent character, a plurality of players can cooperate to defeat opponent characters.
