METHOD FOR REMOVING CARBON DIOXIDE INCLUDED IN COMBUSTION EXHAUST GAS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing carbon dioxide included in a combustion exhaust gas of fossil fuel and preventing the emission of a greenhouse effect gas into atmospheric air. SOLUTION: The method is characterized in subjecting a combustion exhaust gas to the gas-liquid contact with an aqueous solution of a hydrated lime, absorbing and removing carbon dioxide included in the exhaust gas and further recovering the resulting by-product as calcium carbonate to effectively utilize the same.
