PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replacing puzzle wherein a letter and the name of an article, matter, or the like, can be memorized one by one surely, correctly, and pleasantly. SOLUTION: A plurality of puzzle pieces of the same shape, on each of the surfaces of which a letter and a pattern are printed, and a puzzle board, on which figures such as characters are printed, are provided. A plurality of first fitting recesses of the same shape and a plurality of second fitting recesses of the same shape are provided on the puzzle board, and a letter and a pattern relating to the puzzle piece of the same shape as the recess are printed on the surface of each of the first and second recesses, while the second fitting recesses are arranged in the same order as the letters thereof, and any one of the puzzle pieces can be fitted in the first fitting recesses.
