<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high degree denitrifying method of waste water capable of achieving the same excellent nitrogen removing ratio as that when chemicals are added while suppressing the running cost by eliminating or reducing the addition of chemicals for denitrification. SOLUTION: A biological membrane filter unit 6 is disposed at the following stage of a nitrifying tank 4 in the case of a process in which nitrification/ denitrification of the waste water are performed without using an activated sludge and the biological membrane filter device 6 is disposed at the following stage of the final settling basin in the case of a process in which waste water treatment is performed by using the activated sludge. At the biological membrane filter device 6, NOX remaining in the treated water is denitrified by using the suspended substance in the treated water as an organic substance source. The biological membrane filter unit 6 is constituted of only anaerobic bed or the anaerobic bed and an aerobic bed.</p> |
