PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation apparatus for tea production capable of reliably detecting metallic foreign substances which should not be mixed with tea leaves, reliably removing them, and decreasing the amount of the tea leaves removed together with the foreign substances. SOLUTION: The separation apparatus for tea production comprises a vibration type tea leaf transporting means, a metal detection means for inspecting metallic foreign substances which should not be mixed with tea leaves introduced and dropped by the tea leaf transporting means, and an air nozzle for blowing the foreign substances detected by the metal detection means under the metal detection means.
