The chamber (12) containing the water-powered mechanism for driving the dosing device is located at a distance from this device. The water-powered mechanism is coupled to the device via a closed, low pressure hydraulic system (27, 28) which is not sensitive to frost. An apparatus for adding lime to running water in a watercourse (10) comprises a dosing device driven by a water-powered mechanism housed inside a frostproof chamber, to which water is supplied from the watercourse. The chamber is located at a distance from the dosing device and the water-powered mechanism designed to drive the dosing device is coupled to it via a closed, low pressure hydraulic system which is not sensitive to frost. An Independent claim is also included for a method for assembling the above apparatus. |
