<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a divergent gas removing device which can prevent the deterioration of working environment by gas diverging in agitation in an apparatus for fermenting organic waste. SOLUTION: The upper surface and four sides of a dolly 5 having an agitator 4 traveling on the upper surface of a fermentation tank 1 are covered with a hood assembly H in which a hood 20 having a vent is suspended and supported by a hood suspending support 24. The hood assembly H is suspended and supported to be able to travel freely by a hood assembly driving apparatus R. Branch suction pipes 47, 47, or the like, having normally closed valves 48, 48, or the like, arranged at regular intervals are arranged in the traveling direction of the dolly. An exhaust device E composed of a main suction pipe 49 common to the branch suction pipes and a blower 50 for sucking/releasing air connected at least to one end of the pipe 49 is installed.
