<p>The damp fibre cable is passed from the spinner to a cutting unit for reduction into staple fibres between two belts which are pressed against each other by sprung rollers. The springs for the rollers are adjustable to compensate for any thickness of cable to be passed through, up to several thousand denier, without dismantling or replacing any components. The space at the bottom of the belts is less than 50 mm. and this feed point for the cable to the cutter is less than 150 mm. above the cutting unit.</p> |
