PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform arithmetic processing fast by supplying all data necessary for a matrix operation to a computing unit at the same time and to continuously perform the calculation of the whole matrix without additionally reading data of the matrix out of an external storage device by putting the data of the terms of the whole matrix into a storage means in advance. SOLUTION: The data of all the terms of the matrix to be calculated are divided and stored in matrix data divisional storage memories 10 to 13 and necessary data are outputted from the matrix data divisional storage memories 10 to 13 with a readout part 23 at the same time and sent to a product sum computing element 19 through a selector part 14; and the sum of products is calculated and the calculation result 20 is outputted and written to the matrix data divisional storage memories 10 to 13 through a writing part 21.
