PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document filing system that efficiently extracts additional information directly described on a document to be inputted and storing the additional information as a tag together with the document. SOLUTION: In this document filing system that simultaneously stores information attached to document data as tag data together with the document data with respect to the document data inputted as image data, a controlling part (5) fetches the additional information described on the input document by an image inputting part (1), an additional information extracting part (2) extracts the additional information, and the additional information is stored as the tag data together with the document data in a data storing part (7). An area for additional information to be described on a document is previously designated, data in the area in inputted document data is decided to be additional information, the additional information extracting part (2) thereby, automatically extracts the additional information on the document and stores the additional information as tag data together with the document data. There are furthermore other four items.
