PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounting oscillator which can maintain turning into compact size and capable of being switched from one frequency to another by the use of a programmable IC chip. SOLUTION: A crystal piece and an IC chip are housed in a surface-mounting case, equipped with mounting electrodes for the formation of a surface-mounting crystal oscillator. An oscillation circuit formed of the IC chip and the crystal piece, a PLL circuit, equipped with a voltage-controlled oscillation circuit operating on the oscillation frequency of the oscillation circuit as a reference circuit, and a first and a second storage circuit, which set the output frequency of the PLL circuit at fo1 or fo2 are integrated onto the IC chip. The first and second storage circuits are selected by keeping one of the mounting electrodes at ground potential or non-ground potential, and the output frequency fo1 or fo2 by the first or the second selected storage circuit is supplied. |
