PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a portable telephone fixed with an electromagnetic wave protective device which can reduce the quantity of electromagnetic energy being absorbed into human body without generating any unnecessary radiation. SOLUTION: The portable telephone 5 is fixed with the electromagnetic wave protective device 1 made of a planar body comprising a base part 1a and first bends 1b bending in the same direction from the base part 1a at the opposite ends thereof and composed of a composite magnetic body containing powder of a soft magnetic body and an organic binder. The electromagnetic wave protective device 1 is fixed such that the first bends 1b are directed outward from a user and the base part 1a is located closer to the user side than the antenna 6 of the portable telephone 5 under use conditions thereof.
