PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for flat cable connection which protects from external force a conductive connecting part vulnerable to external force and enables wiring with reliability even at wiring work in a narrow place without worry on its treatment. SOLUTION: With the connector for flat cable connection composed of a connector main body having a terminal fitting housing hole for housing a terminal fitting connected with a conductive terminal of a flat cable, and a protrusion at an upper hem of the terminal fitting housing hole, and an insertion-coupling member insertion-coupled with the terminal fitting housing hole having an engaging part engaging with the protrusion on a top wall face and having a pressing part at a lower part for pressing down the flat cable to the lower hem of the terminal fitting housing hole, a top part wall face is elastically deformed when the insertion-coupling member is insertion-coupled with the connector main body, and the engaging part gets engaged with the protrusion going astride the protrusion to control movement of the flat cable as the pressed part presses down the flat cable to the bottom face of the connector main body.
