PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enameled wire having sufficient strength and flexibility permitting a less reduction in wire diameter during coiling work with a high- speed automatic coiling machine and preventing the swelling of a conductor, when coiled, due to repulsion. SOLUTION: The rate of wire drawing the enameled wire conductor, when manufactured, right before reaching a final wire diameter is set to be 70% or more and 90% or less and then heating and annealing are applied followed by rolling. In this way, the enameled wire conductor can be manufactured with a 0.2% proof stress of 150 MPa or more and a spring elongation value of 200 or more.
