DISK MOTOR AND OPTICAL DISK UNIT USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately reduce weight eccentricity in a disk motor which is one of the causes of vibration and noise in an optical disk unit. SOLUTION: The disk motor of disk replacement comprises a stator portion including a coil for rotational driving and a rotor portion provided with a rotating shaft and magnets for rotational driving and is provided with a turntable which is fixed at the upper part of the rotating shaft and on which a disk is loaded. The rotor yoke thereof is provided with a flange around the open portion located at the lower end of the yoke, and notches are formed in part of the flange to correct weight eccentricity in the rotor assembly. Further, the optical disk is provided with two or more rotor stoppers to prevent the rotor from coming off.
