PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording and reproducing device the function and application of which as audio title and BGM or the like can be enhanced by applying after-recording to a magnetic tape as well as reproduction of voice and music recorded on a memory card. SOLUTION: An output audio signal changeover section 5 receives a memory card audio signal S3 outputted from a memory card reproduction section 3 and an operation section 4 selects a mode to output an output audio signal S5 to a magnetic tape recording and reproducing section 6 thereby applying after-recording of audio information of the memory card to the magnetic tape.
