PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile equipment capable of receiving facsimile data, even if idle capacity of memory is reduced. SOLUTION: Facsimile data are received (step s1-1) and if it is decided in a step s2 that a printer part is disabled of printing by the exhaustion of recording paper or the like, the received data are stored in the memory (step s4). Then, the used capacitance of the memory is acquired (step s5). When it is judged in a step s6 that the amount of capacity used is more than prescribed capacity, data to be saved as electronic mail are selected from among the received data stored in the memory (step s7). When such data are received FAX data, there data are converted into electronic mail form, electronic mail is transmitted to an electronic mail address assigned to the facsimile equipment itself, and the transmitted data are deleted from the memory 2 (step s8). Afterwards, reception of electronic mail is made to stop (step s9).
