PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power control that can prolong the life of a dry cell. SOLUTION: The power control 5 comprises a dry cell 10, a known latching relay 11 that is connected to the dry cell 10, a manual start switch 12, a manual stop switch 13, an npn transistor 14, a detection circuit 15, and a CdS 16 used as a photosensor. The power control 5 is connected to a load (the electric circuit of a roulette game machine 1) 21. The CdS 16 is connected between the latching relay 11 and detection circuit 15, and a resistance changes according to the quantity of the ambient light. The resistance of the CdS 16 becomes small when the quantity of the light is large, and the resistance becomes large when the quantity of light is small. A detection circuit 15 supplies a base current to a transistor 14 based on a current supplied from the CdS 16, and turns on the transistor 14.
