<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic mosaic generating device where no gap of a perception position exists between a mosaicked image and an image around the mosaicked image. SOLUTION: A user uses an entry means 2 to designate an area of stereoscopic image information (right eye image and left eye image) generated by a video camera or a computer, and a mosaic area setting means 1 decides an area to which a mosaic is applied. parallax detection means 4 detects parallax between the right eye image and the left eye image in the set area. An area is decided to provide parallax to each of the right eye image and the left eye image on the basis of the parallax. Then a mosaic generating means 5 generates mosaic with a luminance corresponding to the designated area, an image composite means 6 composites the mosaic with the original stereoscopic image information to obtain the right eye image and the left eye image to which mosaic is applied. Thus, a stereoscopic image to a natural position of which mosaic is applied can be obtained.</p> |
