PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability, when automatically registering a destination in a data transmitter, and to effectively utilize a display area or memory area. SOLUTION: As a device for transmitting data via a network, an MFP 1 is provided with a display control part 201 and a list control part 202. Information, showing whether it is a data receivable state is received from the data receiver via the network and on the basis of that information, the list control part 202 registers the data receiver in the data receivable state on list data 101 and deletes the data receiver, which is not in the data receivable state, from the registration. Further more, the display control part 201 displays the list data 101 on a display, and on the basis of the displayed list data 101, a transmitting part 161 accepts the selection of a destination.
