PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device in which writing power is reduced. SOLUTION: In the optical disk device for maintaining reading power constant during test writing by using the test area of an optical disk, carrying out test writing by sequentially changing writing power, and determining optical writing power for information writing from the result of the test writing, a reading power setting means is provided for setting the reading power so as to obtain the optimal writing power. |
