PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniature and inexpensive DVD/CD compatible optical head having a high performance. SOLUTION: This optical head is provided with at least two laser beam sources, a collimator lens, an objective lens, and a photodetector for receiving the light reflected from the optical disk, and also provided with an elastic supporting member for supporting a lens holder to hold the objective lens and a fixed part for supporting this elastic supporting member, then, the packaging spaces of optical components are secured in such a manner that a magnetic yoke having a gap part and at least two magnets are arranged at the side opposite to the fixed part with respect to the objective lens and at least a part of the collimator lens is arranged in the gap part of the magnetic yoke. By this arrangement, the DVD/CD compatible optical head having the high performance is realized. |
