Treatment of adolescence associated skin disorders, e.g. acne or inflammatory lesions, using cosmetic or pharmaceutical composition containing low concentrations of biguanide and pyrimidine compounds

The use of one or more biguanide derivatives (I) and one or more pyrimidines (II) is claimed in the production of cosmetic care compositions for young skin or skin with a tendency to acne or pharmaceutical compositions for treating blemished young skin or skin affected by acne or inflammatory or retentional lesions. Independent claims are included for: (i) cosmetic compositions or pharmaceutical compositions for use as above, containing (I) and (II) at a combined concentration lower than the minimum inhibitory concentration for strain(s) characteristic of acne; and (ii) a cosmetic care method, involving topical application of a composition containing (I) and (II) to the appropriate regions of the skin.
