The decorative support for a mattress has a profile (1) with an altered S-shaped profile having fixings at its lower end for attachment to the bed frame (4). The middle of the profile has a recess (7) to cover the longitudinal (2) of the bed frame. The upper part of the profile extends vertically to prevent lateral movement of the mattress. The upper section can vary in height along the profile.
