PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable temperature control of the CO oxidation part by eliminating outside power supply and a heater. SOLUTION: A reforming device 2, which generates hydrogen by using a fuel such as alcohol and hydrocarbon and supplies it to a fuel cell stack 1 of a fuel cell system, comprises a controller 3 that outputs a control signal in accordance with the operating state and the temperature of the CO oxidation part 24 of the above reforming device 2, and a control valve 4 that controls temperature by controlling switching on/off of supply of gas that is supplied to the CO oxidation part 24 based on a control signal from the controller 3, and controls temperature by controlling on/off of the gas supplied to the CO oxidation part 24 based on the operating state and the temperature of the CO oxidation part 24, and at the starting of the device, the supply of the coolant to the CO oxidation part 24 is switched off. |
