PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove audible noise by surely detecting multi-path disturbances at over-modulation time. SOLUTION: When the detection level of an electric field strength detecting section 18 is not less than a prescribed level and the modulating level detected in a modulating level detecting section 16 is not more than a prescribed level, a gate control section 21 controls a gate switch 15, based on an electric field strength level fluctuation detecting signal from an electric field strength level fluctuation detecting section 19, to perform noise removing operation. When the modulating level detected by the section 16 is not less than the prescribed level, the section 21 controls the gate switch 15, based on the electric field strength level fluctuation detecting signal from the section 19, to perform a noise removing operation, only when the detected level of a pilot signal sideband level detecting section 20 is not more than a prescribed level.
