PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and device for an X-ray image tube capable of controlling flatness of a deposited film of a luminous material composing an input screen. SOLUTION: The manufacturing device for the X-ray image tube is provided with a fixing device 21 fixing a support substrate 141 formed with the deposited film 22 of the luminous material, a ball holding member 26 holding a plurality of machining balls 27 contacting the deposited film 22 so rotating movement is free and lateral movement is regulated, and a driving mechanism 23 rotating the fixing device 21 by using a center of the deposited film 22 as an axis m.
