PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically performing the version-up of software in the different kinds of machines of users. SOLUTION: A Web server 9 receives the application of version-up in software from a client computer 15. The Web server 9 generates a software distribution schedule where the distribution date of version-up software is set and transmits it to a gateway computer 13 via a software distribution server. The gateway computer 13 receives version-up software by referring to the software distribution schedule. In the meantime, a version-up schedule is generated where the machine kind and date, etc., for version-up are set. Software management agent parts 43 and 45 arranged in each kind of machines perform automatic version-up by referring to the version-up schedule.
