PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a retainer allowed to be mounted on a rear face of a hood part at a temporary locking state, for a connector equipped with a moving plate inside the hood. SOLUTION: A retainer 40 displacing between a temporary locking position allowing insertion of male terminal fitting 20 inside a hood part 11 and a proper locking position restraining loosening of the male terminal fitting 20 already inserted, is held at the temporary locking position by being temporarily locked to a moving plate 30 by locking of a temporary locking protrusion 34 (a temporary holding means) and a protrusion 43 (a temporary holding means). Therefore, there is no need of setting a means for temporarily locking the retainer 40 in the inner periphery of the hood part 11.
