PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape cassette that is excellent in the resistance to fall shock, thermal conductivity, electromagnetic shield, and dimensional stability, in which an mount of use of a synthetic resin can be reduced, the synthetic resin can easily be separated from a metallic part, the number of aborted components is reduced even in the case of abort, and which can be decomposed so as not to provide a burden onto the environment, the components of which can be recycled, and that can easily be assembled and comprises the few number of components. SOLUTION: This invention provides the magnetic tape cassette the case of which freely turnably contains a tape reel with a magnetic recording tape wound thereon and that is characterized in that the major parts of the case are made of metal.
