PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for speech analysis, which are not affected by the environment and mental state of a speaker by excluding a feature vector having a small variation quantity from standard pattern learning object data by using a time variation parameter of delta cepstrum. SOLUTION: The method or device for speech recognition applies speech recognition technology, which analyzes an inputted speech, compares the analysis result with previously stored comparison object pattern candidates (standard pattern), and decides the pattern having the highest degree of matching as a recognition result, and is characterized by that when the standard patterns are registered, the feature vector having the small time variation quantity is excluded from the standard pattern learning object data (steps 11 to 15) by using the time variation parameters and the standard patterns generated by using other feature vectors are compared.
