PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide character string processing method and device which normalize a character or a character string which are synonymous but have different notations, also develop the synonymous words having different notations of the normalized character or character string and show the synonymous words having different notations to a user. SOLUTION: An inputted character string is translated on the basis of a preliminarily stored one character translation table, the inputted character string is translated on the basis of a preliminarily stored double latter table, the inputted character string is translated on the basis of a preliminarily stored character disassembly table, the input character string subjected to the above three pieces of translation processing is analyzed on the basis of a preliminarily stored character type table, the input character string is divided at a position where character types change on the basis of analysis results to generate one or more same character type continuous character strings, and the normalized notation of the same character type continuous character string formed by dividing the inputted character string is generated and outputted. |
