PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the information which is the substantially closest to a user by performing retrieval that the user instructs along a route including the current position of the use. SOLUTION: A route information retrieving method includes a receiving process of receiving retrieval conditions inputted by terminal equipment and position information on the user of the terminal equipment, a route retrieving process of retrieving the position information by using a map database and making the position of the user correspond to a route on a road network between reference points, an information retrieving process of retrieving at lest one corresponding item meeting the retrieval conditions within a specific retrieval range along the route by using the map database, and a transmitting process of transmitting the corresponding item to the terminal equipment so that it can be displayed by the terminal equipment. |
