PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make clear the preferable range of physical properties to prevent flaw, clouding or vanishing of gloss in a hologram forming layer and to provide a hologram transfer foil as a stable product. SOLUTION: The transfer foil is a surface relief type hologram transfer layer in which a transfer layer of a layered structure having a hologram forming layer and a heat sensitive adhesive layer is laminated on a base film and the farthest layer in the transfer layer from the base film is the heat sensitive adhesive layer. The resin used for the hologram forming layer shows, by the measurement of dynamic viscoelasticity, >=5.0×10<7> Pa dynamic storage elastic modulus in the temperature range from 120 deg.C to 180 deg.C and the maximum point (glass transition point) of tanδ(dynamic loss elastic modulus E"/dynamic storage elastic modulus E') at >=100 deg.C.
