PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device which enhances the luminance of its light emitting part. SOLUTION: Light which is emitted from a light source 22 is incident from the coupling part 24a of a light guide light emitting part 24, and it is diffused inside the part 24. The diffused light is reflected by surfaces in the bottom 15a and side faces 25b, 25c of a hollow part 25. The reflected light is diffused and emits light by a light guide light emitting member near the surface of the hollow part 25. The luminance of the part 25 near the hollow part 25 can be increased. Consequently, since the low luminance part of the part 24 is reduced, the user of the portable terminal device can easily recognize a report such as a reception or the like by a light emitting operation. Without increasing the number of the light source 22, the low luminance part of the part 24 can be reduced.
