COOLING FAN UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling fan unit having improved hardness and rigidity of the whole unit without increasing the weight of a fan unit chassis. SOLUTION: This cooling fan unit is constituted by housing a plurality of cooling fans 2 in a fan unit chassis 1 composed of a frame-like main frame 1a having a front panel 1c and a sub-frame 1b disposed on the bottom surface of the main frame 1a and attaching the lower surfaces of frame bodies 2a of cooling fans 2 to the sub-frame 1b. The upper surface of the front panel 1c is connected with the upper surfaces of the frame bodies 2a of the cooling fans 2 and the upper surface of the main frame 1a by connecting means 5. Since a section of the fan unit chassis 1 is a closed section and its section modulus is increased, strength and rigidity of the whole unit can be improved without increasing the plate thickness of the fan unit chassis 1.
