SOCKET OF ZERO INSERTION FORCE MOUNTED WITH BALL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method to mechanically and electrically connect an electronic constituting element and a circuit board using a socket of zero insertion force(ZIF). SOLUTION: The ZIF socket has plural pressure-fitting contact assemblies and an intermediate plate, selectively movable between a contact position and a non-contact position. The respective contact assemblies are mounted on a housing of the ZIF socket by press-fitting the lower part of the contact assemblies so that the respective contact assemblies are fixed to an opening part of the housing bottom by the compression force. The ZIF socket is installed at the circuit board, and the electronic constituting element is installed at the ZIF socket. The contact unit assemblies of the ZIF sockets are selectively movable between the contact position and the non-contact position.
