PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver having retransmission function, capable of retransmitting an audio signal extracted from a broadcasting radio wave and reducing the S/N ratio in an FM radio wave, even if a reception state of a digital broadcast is deteriorated. SOLUTION: The receiver has a reception reproducing section for receiving a digital broadcasting radio wave for reproducing an audio signal contained in the digital broadcasting radio wave a reception state determining section for determining the reception state of the digital broadcast radio waves, and a modulation transmitting section for applying a frequency modulating processing to the audio signal and retransmitting it as a weak signal. In this receiver, the modulation transmitting section, based on the determined result by the received state determining section, controls to increase the modulation level at frequency modulation, when the receiving state is proper, and the decrease the modulation level, when the receiving state is deteriorated. At the same time, the modulation transmitting section performs control to switch a processing which is applied to the audio signal, between monophonic or stereophonic based on changes in the reception state.
