PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a header having a comparatively large tolerance for the size of parts of the header. SOLUTION: An electric connector has a base to establish plural aperture spaces in it. Plural contacts are received and fixed in the aperture spaces and a signal contact and a ground contact are included. In addition, plural ground shields are received and fixed in the aperture spaces. The ground shield is arranged so as to protect one of the selected signal contacts from noises and/or cross talks generated by the other signal contacts in the base. Each ground contact has an electrical contact part wherein the ground shield physically and electrically contacts the ground contact. The electrical contact part is flexible.
