PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To delete data recorded on a disk-like recording medium. SOLUTION: When data are to be recorded on the rewritable disk-like recording medium, the recording end address is stored which is the address at the time of recording completion of the data. When data are to be deleted, the data to be deleted are specified, then the recording end address and a terminal address of the specified data are compared, and if the recording end address and the terminal address are the same, the deletion of the specified data is performed by physically deleting them from the disk-like recording medium.
